A quiet gallery for the screen you see most
You look at your lock screen more often than at any picture you own. Athiwalls is a small, curated gallery of phone and desktop wallpapers, sorted by mood, for people who want that screen to feel calm, warm and their own.

What this is
Fewer wallpapers, chosen better.
Most wallpaper sites try to have everything. Athiwalls tries to have only what we’d keep on our own phones. Every wallpaper belongs to one mood (dark, minimal, nature, abstract, vintage, cute, spiritual, motivational, anime-style or desktop), so you can browse by how you want your screen to feel rather than by keyword.
Each one has its own page, where you can see it on a lock screen and a home screen before you download it, read what’s in it, and pick out its colours to find others like it.
How a wallpaper gets in
Made for a screen, not cropped to fit one.
- It’s composed for a screen first. Phone wallpapers keep the top third calm, so the clock and notifications stay readable. Desktop wallpapers keep one side quiet for icons and windows.
- It’s cut to one exact frame. Phone wallpapers are 1440 × 3120 and desktop wallpapers 3840 × 2160, sharp on current iPhones, Android phones and 4K monitors.
- Its colours are measured. Its five dominant colours become its palette, and its page takes on the first of them.
- It gets a real description, written by a person: what’s in it, and where it looks its best.
- It’s checked against our rules: no watermarks, no logos, no copyrighted characters, nothing we wouldn’t show anyone.
Where the wallpapers come from
Original, and honest about it.
Most Athiwalls wallpapers begin as images made with generative image tools. Each is then picked from several attempts, cropped, colour-checked and described by hand. We never take wallpapers from other sites, and we never show copyrighted characters, brands or real people. The anime-style collection is original characters and scenes in that style, never characters from a series.
If you think something here uses your work, tell us. It comes down while we look into it.
How it pays for itself
Free downloads, labelled sponsors.
Every download is free and full resolution, with no account, no watermark and no waiting. The site is paid for in two ways: a few sponsors, never more than three at a time and always marked “Sponsored”, and ads served by Google AdSense.
Ads are never dressed up as download buttons, and nothing stands between you and the file you came for. If you’d like to reach the people who use Athiwalls, see Sponsor a slot.
New every Sunday
A small drop, every week.
New wallpapers go up every Sunday. They’re first in Explore and in the Just added row on the home page. If you’d like help getting one onto your phone, the guides walk through it step by step for iPhone, Android and desktop.
